Eid is twelve days away.

Time enough to think of everyone — a coffee for the office, dinner for the parents, something small for the friend who always remembers first.

Why this gift

Two places to start, and why each works as a gift.

Cortado · Riffa

The Monday that fixes itself.

Cortado roast in small batches in Riffa. A hot latte at BHD 1.500 says “I know how your week starts” — no speech required.

Midway Supermarket

For the house, not just the person.

A Midway voucher lands on WhatsApp and quietly covers the week's shop. The kind of gift that gets used the same week it arrives.

Any amount Send a voucher

Send it with a card

A picture card carries your line. Sara gets it on WhatsApp, as it looks here.

Split it with friends

Start a pool for Sara's birthday. Muhammad and Yusuf chip in whatever they like — amounts stay private, and Sara sees one gift from all of you.

Community Partners

Give to someone you'll never meet.

Send a gift to a registered Bahraini charity. They pass it on to someone who needs it, with the same dignity as any other gift.

Editorial warmth

Home as a short, warm magazine about giving: an occasion on the cover, two shops told as stories, the cards shown as the objects they are, and the charities given the page they deserve. Same tokens, same logo, same tabs — one gold Send button.

The cover leads with an occasion, not a slogan. Today the hero says “Send someone something.” Here it says why today: Eid in 12 days, Sara's birthday on Monday. Fed by a small occasions calendar (Eid, Ramadan, National Day) plus birthdays the customer chooses to save. Saving birthdays is a product decision for Nawaf; without it the cover runs on the public calendar alone.
“Coming up” tickets. Four tap targets under the cover that open Send with the occasion already chosen. Cheaper than scrolling to a category and remembering why you came.
Shops become stories. “Featured places” turns into editorial cards: a large picture, a headline, two lines on why this works as a gift, and the smallest honest price (BHD 0.500 at Cortado). The full list moves to a compact index at the bottom so it does not compete.
Picture cards as artefacts. The card and the message line are shown together, as the postcard Sara receives on WhatsApp. Today they only appear inside the send flow, so nobody discovers them from Home.
Categories become an index. Nine pills instead of a 3 × 3 wall of boxes: lighter on the eye and it reads like a contents line, with the same nine categories in the same order and a 46 px tap height. Only slightly shorter than today (about 215 px against 240 px) — the gain is calm, not space.
The pool gets one sentence. A cream card explains splitting the bill (amounts private) with Muhammad and Yusuf's faces, so the version-5 pool is found from Home instead of three screens in.
Community Partners get the midnight card. Full width, a gold rule, no logos until the list — dignified rather than decorative. Today partners only appear as a recipient option.
Calmer type and rhythm. Outfit 600 at 34 / 22 / 19, Montserrat 14 / 13 for body, 30 px between sections, 24 px card radius. Cream is the paper of the cover and the pool; white is where the stories live; midnight is reserved for the partners. The received-gift strip, country chip, avatar and launch announcement (swipe to dismiss) are kept.

RTL. Every offset uses logical properties (inset-inline, padding-inline, text-align: start), so dir="rtl" mirrors the header, tickets, cards, index and tab bar with no extra layout; chevrons, the postcard tilt and the crescent flip under [dir=rtl]. Try it with the State card at the top of the page, which also swaps the main labels to Arabic. Arabic copy would render in the system Arabic face today (the app ships no Arabic font); pairing one — an open-licence face such as IBM Plex Sans Arabic — is a brand choice for Nawaf.

Concept for Nawaf's review, not for publishing. Shops shown are Cortado and Midway; people and amounts are examples, not customer data. Occasion dates are illustrative.
