How ihdaa works

1Pick a shop, or a cause to support.

2Add a note and a picture card.

3We deliver it on WhatsApp. They redeem at the counter.

New: group gifts. Split a gift with friends — everyone chips in what they like.

ihdaa — Home concept C: WALLET-FIRST utility

Your gifts at the top, discovery below. A concept for Nawaf to look at — compare with today's Home (docs/screens/customer-app/04-home.png). Not for publishing.

Design notes

What changed, and why

Your value is the hero. The midnight hero card is replaced by the wallet: one total to enjoy, then each received gift as a card with its balance, who it is from, the occasion, and a one-tap Show QR. Today those gifts are a row of small chips that only appears sometimes; the thing a recipient needs at a counter was three taps away.
Banking-app numbers. BHD with three decimals everywhere, tabular figures, the remaining balance large and the spent amount small underneath, plus a thin bar so "how much is left" reads without reading.
The pool lives on Home. A group gift in progress shows its bar, who chipped in and the one action that matters (Chip in). Amounts stay private by design; only names and the total show.
Four quick actions instead of one CTA. Send a gift stays gold and first, so the primary action is unmistakable; Show QR, Start a pool and History sit beside it for the three other things people open the app to do.
A short statement. Two recent rows with a link to History, like a bank's "recent transactions". Status is a verb (Redeemed, Received), not a colour.
Discovery demoted, not removed. The same nine categories as compact cream tiles, and places as list rows with the starting price visible before you tap. The cream band and the rounded cards keep it unmistakably ihdaa.
Empty states that teach. A new user sees what the wallet will hold, a three-step "how it works", and one clear Send your first gift instead of a blank space. Switch to "New user" in the State card at the top.
Calm chrome. No background illustration, no gradients on text; one accent (gold) for actions and progress, success green for status only. Every target is at least 44 px; the announcement dismisses in one tap.

Arabic / RTL. The layout uses CSS logical properties (inline-start / inline-end) and flex order, so dir="rtl" mirrors it: wallet cards scroll from the right, bars fill from the right, chevrons flip, the badge and the dismiss button swap sides. Amounts, codes and the logo stay left-to-right (BHD 7.500, CRT-7H2K) via an isolated dir="ltr" span, which is how Arabic banking apps do it. Use "العربية · RTL" in the State card at the top to check the geometry with the main labels in Arabic (concept wording, not final copy).

Tokens used

Colours are the theme.ts tokens only (tints are the same tokens at low alpha). Outfit for headings and numbers, Montserrat for body. Example content: Cortado and Midway Supermarket; no real customer data. The Midway "photo" is a red/navy block and Cortado a grey storefront, both CSS, to be replaced by the shops' real covers.
